What language preferences can Ride Health accommodate?
Ride Health can accommodate messaging for 100+ languages depending on an organization's preferences.
English will always be set as the default language when creating a patient.
If Ride Health communicates with a patient through text messaging, the patient will receive all messaging in whatever language is set as their preference.
If Ride Health communicates with a patient through automated phone calls, the patient will receive all automated phone calls from Ride Health in their preferred language.
How do I set a patient's language preference?
You can set a patient's language preference when creating the patient's profile.
1. In the Ride Health platform, navigate to the PATIENTS tab.
2. Select CREATE PATIENT in the top left corner.
3. On the BASIC tab, click the LANGUAGE field and type in the patient's preferred language.
4. Languages that match the typed text will populate below.
5. Select the language the patient prefers to communicate in.

How do I edit a patient's language preference?
You can edit a patient's language preference by editing the patient's profile.
1. In the Ride Health platform, navigate to the PATIENTS tab
2. In the search field, type in the patient's first and last name.
3. Select the patient whose profile you would like to edit.
4. On the BASIC tab, click the LANGUAGE field and type in the patient's preferred language.
5. Languages that match the typed text will populate below.
6. Select the language the patient prefers to communicate in.

Patient Messaging
Patients will receive messages in whatever language is set as their language of preference. In order to accommodate English-speaking coordinators, all messages on MESSAGES panel of the Ride Health Dashboard will appear in English. Coordinators can use the MESSAGES panel to communicate with patients. Coordinators can type their messages to the patient in English and they will automatically be translated and received by the patient in their preferred language.
Ride Health Support
Ride Health Support can accommodate English and Spanish speaking patients who call the Ride Health Support line 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
