Ride Health communicates information about the patient’s ride to a designated point of contact. This information includes date and time of ride, pick up and drop off location, driver’s name, make and model of the driver’s car, and other important details such as the driver’s estimated time of arrival.
This section allows you to review and specify who should receive this information about the ride(s) you are creating and how they should receive this information.
1. Determine who will be responsible for receiving information about rides, the patient or their caregiver.
You should only designate a caregiver as the responsible party if the patient is unable to receive and send information about their ride(s). If a caregiver is selected, specify the caregiver’s first name and their relationship to the patient.
2. Specify whether the patient or their caregiver should receive communication about rides as text messages or automated calls. Automated calls should only be selected if this person is unable to send and receive text messages.
3. Specify the phone number to which the patient or their caregiver should receive these text messages or automated calls.
4. Specify whether the patient or their caregiver travel with this phone when they attend the patient’s appointments. If No is selected, upon creating a ride in the Ride Request Form, you will be prompted to enter an additional contact person at the facility to receive information on the patient’s behalf.
5. If information about this patient’s rides should go to a coordinator rather than the patient or their caregiver, select Clinical Contact, then use the drop-down menu to search your organization’s Clinical Contact Directory and specify the appropriate person. For more information on Clinical Contacts, see Patient Contact Information.
