Ride Type

Stores if the ride was scheduled in advance or on demand.

Scheduled: Pre Scheduled Request

Will-Call: On Demand Request

Ride Status

Stores the current ride stage. 

Pre-Ride Stages

Scheduling: Ride is being offered to available transportation providers.

Confirmed: Ride is scheduled with a transportation provider

Arranged: A future will-call ride is scheduled but not available for the passenger to request yet (opens for 24 hour window on scheduled day).

Active: Will-call ride is available for a passenger to request.

In Progress Stages

Requesting: On-demand vehicle is being requested.

Matching: An Uber driver is being identified (Uber-specific).

Pickup: Driver is on the way to pickup location.

Waiting: Driver has arrived at the pickup location.

Enroute: Passenger is picked up by driver and on the way to the destination.

End Stages

Completed: Ride Complete as expected

Failed: Driver was unable to connect with passenger.

Cancelled: Ride Cancelled by Organization

Rejected: Passenger cancelled or declined the ride directly.

Closed: Will-call ride that the passenger did not request.

Pickup Location

Stores the full address of the ride’s pickup location.

Stores the county of the ride’s pickup location.

Vehicle Type

Stores the vehicle type selected by the coordinator for the passenger.

Any: Passenger can use either sedan or SUV

SUV: Passenger requires an SUV

Sedan: Passenger requires a sedan

WAV: Passenger requires a wheelchair accessible vehicle

Stretcher: Passenger requires a stretcher van.

BLS: Passenger requires an ambulance with basic life support.

ALS: Passenger requires an ambulance with active life support.

Service Level

Stores assistance needs documented by the coordinator for the passenger.

standard: Passenger does not need assistance

to_curb: Passenger may need light assistance into and out of the vehicle.

to_door: Passenger needs assistance from the door of the home into the car and from the car to the door of the facility, but does not need the driver to enter either.

through_door: Passenger needs the driver to enter the home and facility to assist them.

Fleet

Stores the transportation provider that accepted the ride.

Fleets follow the naming convention: name.state.vehicle type.service level

Ride Creation Date/Time

Stores the timestamp when the coordinator selected “Create Ride.”

Discrete Data

Appointment Date/Time

Stores the “Appointment Date” documented for rides with a type of “Appointment.” Is note stored for discharge or will-call rides.

Needed Day/Time

Stores the scheduled time of the ride regardless of ride type. This is the source of truth for all ride times and is used in the invoicing process.
