What if patient travels with a service animal?

If the patient travels with a service animal, be sure to:

1. Document the patient will be traveling with an animal in the “Notes” field when you create the patient's profile.                                               

2. Write a message to the driver stating  “patient travels with service animal” in the MESSAGE TO DRIVER field of the CREATE RIDE form.

The Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, prohibits discrimination of any kind against people with disabilities and their service animals.
